Spiritual Symbolic Meaning of the Vulture

Within the past few months on several occasions I have driven by a large grouping of Vultures and once again this morning I came across a large group of vultures. It even seems they are getting closer and closer to me. What I mean is, the first time I saw a group of vultures on the front lawn of an apartment complex but quite a distance from the road. Most recently at the entrance to the community pool in my subdivision and close enough to the road for me driving by to scare them off temporarily. The vultures were having their way with a poor cat which I think had been hit by a car. That sight didn’t sit well with me and I actually tried to just put it out of my mind (except for saying a little prayer for kitty). This morning as I was driving on a road that is behind my parents house (a short cut) I could see them up ahead. The vultures seemed to be coming out of the woods on the left and crossing over the road to the right shoulder of the road where there was some sort of dead animal. I don’t know what animal because I didn’t want to look. They didn’t fly off this time and seemed pretty bold. One was crossing the street as I neared where they were and then after I passed I looked in my rear view mirror and the one that had passed in front of my car walked back to the middle of the road and I swear turned and just stood there starring in my direction. Creepy? Yes! lol.Watch Full Movie Streaming Online and Download

I admit that I have put off investigating the meaning of the vultures. I know that many people think Vultures are a sign of death or at least bad luck…and I sure don’t need any of either! So today I have put on my big girl pants and researched the meaning. What I have found totally matches up with what I have been going through lately and seeing the buzzards totally makes sense to me.movie streaming

The Vulture teaches the power of purification of the mind, body and spirit. Also this intimidating bird aids accomplishing tasks through great patience and vision, using your sense of smell and discernment, and how to glide and soar with your own energy.

The Vulture teaches efficiency in actions and promises that changes are imminent. (I have recently been dealing with fear of moving forward with a project and this morning I decided to resign myself to a “Nothing ventured, nothing gained attitude.”)

The Vulture shows how to restore harmony of thoughts and feelings so one can reach new heights with little effort. (Just this morning I was thinking about how when I was younger and I would get an idea, I would be acting on it before the thoughts were even complete in my head but how I noticed that I hesitate as though I have something to lose or a fear of failure)

The message here is that IT IS time to put on my big girl pants and to leave them on, to leave behind any perceived limitations for they are not real and only in my mind if I let them exist. It is time to put action behind those ideas because the Vulture will aid in transforming knowledge to bring forth the unconscious to conscious. An end of something that also signifies the beginning of something new.

The Vulture will teach you how to soar above it all and find the transformation you are needing at this time in your life.

I am ready!

  1. I live in central Pa. I have been tossing around buying a house a bit closer to my work. I seem to have a connection with birds and often see hawk on my way to work. I recently decided to take a look at a particular house on a dead end street in the woods with a beautiful setting despite the price being a bit more than I want to spend. I arrived early before my realtor . As I parked , out of no where swooped a large turkey vulture right next to me. It was awesome to see the size of that bird and its beauty with a large wing spread. It flew just to the end of the house then sharply turned to come back past me again! I was in ah of its beauty and the connection I felt as it vanished. I keep reliving that wonderful experience in my head and want clarity of the message it brings.

  2. Last week I witnessed approximately 100-150 buzzards flying together. I had never seen this before. I am an admirer of them when flying in the sky with the wind. This group had one section that seemed to be flying in a circle. Everyone else was flying in a long group going South. I live in Texas so I have never seen them go South for the fall.
I made a comment to folks around me but they could have cared less. Maybe it was just for me, but strange, very strange. Yes, they were buzzards!

  3. for the past month or so i been seeing a turkey vulture flying above me when i go to this clinic with my husband. first it was only on saturday mornings now i been seeing this vulture more and more each couple days. I am struggling with some very emotional things in my life and i at first thought it was a hawk but today it showed itself to me by flying above me and than landed on a tree branch watching me. for some reason i have become intrested in birds lately or maybe since my mother had passed in feb. but as i read i see it helps you guide and learn that you need to be patient and not rush hopefully it is here to protect me and guide me and make me understand the message it is sending me.
